Author: Seph Valoren
Seph Valoren is a resident clinician who has worked in community mental health for more than 10 years in environments as varied as hospice care, juvenile group homes, sexual assault crisis support, and justice-involved individuals. He was raised in a working-class home in northern California and became involved in politics, environmental activism, and community organizing at a young age. These experiences complement his formal education in behavioral science and social work, focusing on clinical therapeutic applications with clients identifying with LGBTQ+, kink, ethical non-monogamy, and ‘geek’ culture. Outside of his practice, he teaches sociology and psychology at Delaware Technical Community College. In his free time, he enjoys travel, museum-going, cooking, spending time with his dog, and fiction writing.
